Rosehill Gardens drop-off: the Gate 1 Grand Avenue entrance
Rosehill Gardens is on James Ruse Drive, Rosehill NSW 2142, about 20 km west of the Sydney CBD. The Australian Turf Club's FAQ says hire cars picking up go to Gate 1, at the Grand Avenue entrance, and venue information for events at the Grand Pavilion says car and taxi access is through Gate 1 on Grand Avenue, with pedestrian access from the corner of James Ruse Drive and Grand Avenue.
James Ruse Drive is a busy arterial road, so cars should not stop on it to set down passengers. Your chauffeur drives into the Grand Avenue entrance and drops you there, then confirms the collection point for later in the day.
Rosehill race day taxi for the Golden Slipper and carnival days
Rosehill hosts major meetings in both the autumn and spring carnivals, including Golden Slipper Day and Ladies Day in the autumn and carnival meetings in the Everest season in spring, as well as regular Saturday racing. On carnival days the traffic on James Ruse Drive and around Parramatta builds through the morning, and the end of the day sees a rush for the light rail, the buses and the taxi rank all at once.
A booked car takes the guesswork out of it. Tell us when you want to leave, after a particular race or after the last, and we will be there. See our race day transfers page for how we handle racing days across Sydney.

Conferences and expos at the Grand Pavilion
Rosehill Gardens is not only for racing. The Grand Pavilion hosts conferences, trade shows and exhibitions through the year, and delegates often fly in from interstate. From Sydney Airport's T1 International terminal the racecourse is about 25 km by road, typically around 30 to 40 minutes off-peak and longer in peak hour. Your chauffeur tracks your flight, meets you in arrivals and takes you straight to Gate 1. Airport pickups carry an A$12 access charge, and it is already inside the fixed price we quote.
If you are staying in Parramatta, it is a short hop; see our Parramatta airport transfers page for the airport legs of your trip, and our corporate transfers page for team bookings.
Light rail, bus or a private car to Rosehill
Public transport is straightforward if you are near Parramatta. Transport for NSW says the L4 Westmead and Carlingford light rail has a Rosehill Gardens stop, from which you walk via Grand Avenue and the underpass to the racecourse. The club also lists route 920 buses from Parramatta Station Interchange, Stand A2, which stop on James Ruse Drive opposite Prospect Street.
A private car suits groups, anyone coming from the east, north or south of Sydney, people travelling with older relatives and anyone who would rather not change from train to light rail in race-day clothes. It also means nobody in the group has to stay sober to drive.
Group transfers and fares
Our Maxi 7 seats up to 6 passengers and our Maxi 11 seats up to 11. For larger company groups we can send several vehicles and split the return, so early leavers are not kept waiting. Base fares start at A$70 for a sedan, A$80 for an SUV, A$90 for a Maxi 7 and A$110 for a Maxi 11, and longer trips are priced on distance as a fixed total you see before you book. We do not run stretch limousines; our fleet is premium black sedans, SUVs and vans. Racing at Randwick another week? See our Royal Randwick transfers page.
