Western Sydney Airport Transfers to and from WSI - SkyMiles private transfer

Sydney now has two airports. Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport, or WSI, at Badgerys Creek began passenger flights on 25 October 2026, and SkyMiles offers private Western Sydney Airport transfers to and from the new terminal around the clock.

With no train line to the airport yet, most travellers arrive by road. A pre-booked car takes you door to door, with a fixed fare before you book, flight tracking and help with bags. It is especially useful for early or late flights, as WSI operates without a curfew. Call 0434 663 034 or book online.

Now open

WSI began passenger flights on 25 October 2026, with more airlines joining over 2026 and 2027.

No train yet

The Metro line isn't open, so a door-to-door car is the simplest way in.

24/7, like the airport

WSI is curfew-free, and our pre-booked cars run at any hour too.

Fixed fare

One price agreed before you book, with no surge on busy flight banks.

Western Sydney International Airport: what's flying (as of November 2026)

WSI opened to passengers on Sunday 25 October 2026 with a Jetstar flight to the Gold Coast, and Air New Zealand landed the first international service from Auckland on 26 October. Based on government and airline announcements:

  • Jetstar flies domestic routes to Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
  • Air New Zealand flies to Auckland.
  • Singapore Airlines has announced daily Singapore flights from 23 November 2026.
  • Announced for 2027: VietJet (Ho Chi Minh City), Fiji Airways (Nadi), QantasLink (Melbourne and Brisbane), and Qatar Airways (Doha) later in the year.

Schedules are still ramping up, so always check your ticket. A few travellers have turned up at the wrong airport since opening. If your booking says WSI or Western Sydney, you are flying from Badgerys Creek, not Mascot. Our Western Sydney Airport guide covers the terminal and getting there in more detail.

Getting to WSI: roads, buses and why a car is easiest for now

The airport is about 45 km west of the Sydney CBD. The main road access is the toll-free M12 Motorway, which links to the M7 at the new M7-M12 interchange at Cecil Hills and runs west to The Northern Road. That makes WSI a straightforward drive from Liverpool, Penrith, Campbelltown and the Hills District.

  • Public transport: the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport line is not open yet. In the meantime, a free airport shuttle runs from St Marys Station, and buses serve the airport.
  • Driving and parking: there are short pick-up and drop-off zones near the terminal and paid parking on site.
  • Private transfer: door to door, no parking to pay, and no lugging bags through a train change and a shuttle.

From the eastern suburbs or the CBD the drive is long, so allow plenty of time, especially in weekday peaks on the M4, M5 and M7.

Pickups from WSI for friends and family

Collecting someone from WSI for the first time? Rather than driving out to Badgerys Creek, finding the pick-up zone and paying for parking while the flight is delayed, book a driver. Give us the traveller's name, mobile and flight, and we will meet them in arrivals and bring them to your door, wherever you are in Sydney.

Who uses our Western Sydney Airport transfers

WSI is closest for western and south-western Sydney, and that is where most of our bookings start:

  • Penrith, St Marys and the lower Blue Mountains
  • Liverpool, Fairfield and Bankstown
  • Campbelltown, Camden and the Macarthur region
  • Blacktown, Parramatta and the Hills District

We also drive people from the city and Eastern Suburbs who have picked up a cheaper or better-timed fare from WSI, and run transfers between WSI and Sydney (Kingsford Smith) Airport for travellers whose connections are split across the two.

Meet and greet and flight tracking at WSI

Arriving into WSI works like our Sydney Airport pick up: book with your flight number, we track the flight, and your driver meets you in arrivals and walks you to the car. Domestic and international flights share one terminal at WSI, which makes the meeting point simple.

Because WSI is curfew-free, some flights arrive late at night or very early, when buses are thin. A pre-booked car means you are not relying on what happens to be running.

Western Sydney Airport transfer fares

We quote a fixed fare for the car, based on distance and vehicle size, before you book. There is no meter and no surge. Any airport charge that applies and child seats (A$10 each) are shown in your quote. For an estimate, use our fare calculator, or call 0434 663 034 with your suburb and flight time.

Need room for a group or lots of luggage? Choose an SUV, or a 7 or 11-seat maxi van.

Travel times to Western Sydney Airport

As a rough guide in normal traffic, WSI is about 25 to 35 minutes from Penrith or Liverpool, and roughly 45 to 55 minutes from the Sydney CBD. Times from the North Shore, the Northern Beaches and the Eastern Suburbs are longer and depend heavily on peak traffic on the M4, M5 and M7. We will suggest a pickup time when you book, with margin for check-in. Because the airport is new and schedules are still growing, leave a little extra time on your first trip.

WSI or Kingsford Smith: check before you book

  • Your booking will say Western Sydney International (code WSI) or Sydney (code SYD).
  • SYD flights use T1 International or T2/T3 Domestic at Mascot.
  • WSI flights use the single terminal at Badgerys Creek.
  • Tell us the flight number and we will confirm which airport it uses before the day.

Tips for flying from WSI

Check in online where your airline allows it, and arrive with the time your airline recommends. Domestic and international flights share one terminal, so there is no terminal transfer to plan. If you are being dropped off by friends or family, the 2-minute pick-up and drop-off zones near the terminal are designed for quick stops; for a stress-free arrival with bags, a pre-booked car takes you straight to the kerb.

Booking your WSI transfer

Tell us your flight number, the airport (WSI), your address, and how many passengers and bags. We confirm the car and fare, and the driver arrives at the agreed time. Book online 24/7, call or WhatsApp 0434 663 034, or email bookings@skymiles.com.au.

Western Sydney Airport public transport and transport links

Western Sydney Airport public transport is still developing. The Metro line to the airport hasn't opened yet, so in the meantime the airport is served by a free shuttle from St Marys Station and by buses; check Transport for NSW for current routes and times. By road, the main Western Sydney Airport transport links are the toll-free M12 Motorway, which connects to the M7, and The Northern Road.

For most people, Western Sydney Airport transport means a car for now, especially with luggage or a family. If you don't want to drive and pay for parking, book a driver: call 0434 663 034 or book online.

Western Sydney Airport shuttle: a private alternative

If you are looking for a Western Sydney Airport shuttle, our private car or van picks you up from your door and drops you at the single terminal at Badgerys Creek. There are no other passengers and no stops, and you get a fixed fare shown before you book. Our 7 and 11-seat vans suit families and groups. For trips to Kingsford Smith instead, see our Sydney airport shuttle page, and for timings read our Western Sydney Airport guide.
