Taxi to Allianz Stadium: drop-off and pick-up zones
Allianz Stadium (the Sydney Football Stadium) is on Driver Avenue, Moore Park, beside the SCG. For major events, Transport for NSW publishes the zones private cars should use. For the Rugby League World Cup games in late 2026, for example, it listed:
- Drop-off: Errol Flynn Boulevard, Driver Avenue, or Moore Park Road at Oatley Road opposite the stadium.
- Pick-up: Errol Flynn Boulevard (with Moore Park Road at Oatley Road used for pick-up on one date only).
- Taxi rank: Errol Flynn Boulevard, near the Hordern Pavilion.
On those days Driver Avenue was partly closed outside the stadium with no through-traffic, and access to drop-off areas was kept from Lang Road. Arrangements vary by event, so we check the published plan for yours and your chauffeur confirms the meeting point with you.
Allianz Stadium transfers for games and concerts
The stadium is the home of the Sydney Roosters, the NSW Waratahs and Sydney FC, and it hosts internationals and concerts. Coming up in late 2026, Transport for NSW lists the Rugby League World Cup semi-finals on Sunday 8 November, with more than 40,000 fans expected, and the venue's hospitality calendar lists Iron Maiden on Sunday 15 November 2026.
Night fixtures mean you travel in the evening peak and leave late. Transport for NSW warns drivers to expect delays on roads approaching Moore Park and special event clearways apply on several surrounding streets. A pre-booked car will not make the traffic disappear, but it does mean a fixed price, a known pickup point and no circling for a park that has already filled.

Allianz Stadium transfers from Sydney Airport and the city
The stadium is about 14 to 15 km by road from T1 International, typically 20 to 30 minutes off-peak, and about 3.5 km from the CBD. Visiting fans flying in for a game can go straight from arrivals to their hotel and on to the stadium, with flight tracking and meet and greet included. Your quote already covers the A$12 airport pickup charge.
Staying in Surry Hills, Paddington or the CBD? A short transfer to Moore Park starts from A$70 in a sedan. See our Surry Hills airport transfers or Sydney CBD airport transfers pages if you also need the airport leg.
Light rail vs a private car after full-time
Match tickets for many major games include public transport. The Moore Park light rail stop on Anzac Parade is a short walk from the stadium, extra services run on big nights and express shuttle buses can run to Central after the game. Transport for NSW also suggests walking the roughly 25 minutes to Central to avoid the queues.
That is a good option for some. A private car is better when you have children who are fading by the second half, older parents, a long trip home to the south-west or the Shire, or a group that wants to leave together. You walk a few minutes to the meeting point and you are on your way, while the queues sort themselves out.
Maxi taxi to Allianz Stadium for a group
Supporter groups, junior teams and birthday nights work best in one vehicle. Our Maxi 7 seats up to 6 passengers and our Maxi 11 seats up to 11, with room for jackets and flags. Fares start at A$90 for a Maxi 7 and A$110 for a Maxi 11 on short trips, with longer trips priced on distance and always fixed. Bringing young kids? Add baby capsules, forward-facing seats or boosters for A$10 each. Our maxi taxi Sydney page has the luggage details.
