Royal North Shore Hospital Taxi & Private Transfers - SkyMiles private transfer

A Royal North Shore Hospital taxi from SkyMiles is a pre-booked private car to 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards, at a fixed fare. Your chauffeur drops you at the 15-minute zone at the Main Entry, helps with bags and is back at the agreed time to take you home. We drive outpatients, visitors and new families leaving the maternity unit with a capsule already fitted.

Call 0434 663 034 or book online; pre-booked trips run 24/7. We provide private cars only, with no medical staff on board, so we cannot replace an ambulance or a hospital patient transport booking. Emergencies: call 000. We are an independent company and not Northern Sydney Local Health District's transport.

Taxi to Royal North Shore Hospital: Main Entry and drop-off

Royal North Shore Hospital is at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards NSW 2065, reached from exits off the Pacific Highway and the M1. The hospital's visitor map shows 15-minute drop-off and pick-up parking at the Main Entry and at Emergency. The main entry level is level 3 of the Acute Services Building, where the general administration desk and the Ambulatory Care Centre are.

If you need to park, the hospital recommends the P2 car park for patients and visitors, run by Wilson Parking with entry from Reserve Road. Many patients find it simpler to be dropped at the door and collected afterwards; tell us your clinic and we will use the closest point.

Royal North Shore Hospital maternity: going home with your baby

RNSH's maternity services are in the Clinical Services Building, with the antenatal clinic and maternity ward on level 3 and the birth unit and NICU on level 4, according to the hospital's maternity visitor map. When it is time to go home:

  • Book your car in advance and add a rear-facing capsule for A$10. It is fitted before we arrive.
  • Give us an estimated discharge time, then call or message your chauffeur once you are cleared to leave.
  • We meet you at the drop-off area and help with bags and the pram.

Visiting RNSH from Sydney Airport or the North Shore

RNSH is about 20 km by road from T1 International, usually around 30 to 40 minutes off-peak via the city and the Harbour Bridge or Tunnel, and longer at peak times. Your chauffeur tracks your flight and meets you in arrivals, and the A$12 airport pickup charge is included in your fixed fare. Visitors from the North Shore, Chatswood and the Northern Beaches can book a simple return trip for the length of their visit. See our North Shore airport transfers page for airport fares from nearby suburbs.

North Shore Private Hospital is next door on Westbourne Street, with its own main entrance and drop-off area entered from the Pacific Highway end of Westbourne Street. Tell us which hospital you are going to, because the drop-off points are different.

Regular appointments and treatment

If you are coming in for a course of treatment, we can set up a recurring booking at the same time each visit and bring you home when you are done. Hospital parking at RNSH is paid and has concession rates for some patients, including those attending ongoing cancer treatment, but you still have to find a space, walk to the entrance and pay on the way out. A door-to-door car removes all of that.

Coming in on crutches or with a walker? Let us know so the right vehicle is sent; a higher SUV seat is often easier to get into than a low sedan. We do not have wheelchair-accessible vehicles, so we cannot carry anyone who needs to stay seated in a wheelchair.

Train, bus or a private car to St Leonards

The hospital is about a 5 to 10-minute walk from St Leonards station on the T1 North Shore Line, and bus route 114 stops on Reserve Road near the main entrance, according to the hospital. For a healthy visitor, that is often the cheapest way in.

A private car is better after a procedure, when you are carrying a newborn and bags, for very early or late appointments, or when your trip home would mean changing trains. Short trips start from A$70 in a sedan, with longer trips priced on distance and always quoted as a fixed fare. Call 0434 663 034 for your price.
