Taxi fares from Sydney's Eastern Suburbs to the airport
The fare table on this page shows fixed prices for a typical trip from the eastern harbourside. Closer suburbs like Kensington, Randwick or Paddington cost less, and Watsons Bay or Vaucluse cost a bit more. You'll see your exact fare when you book. Airport pickups include the A$12 airport access charge, and child seats are A$10 each. There's no meter running during the slow crawl along New South Head Road in peak hour.
Routes and travel times
- Harbourside suburbs: New South Head Road to Edgecliff, then through Paddington or Moore Park to Southern Cross Drive. Around 25 to 40 minutes off-peak, and up to an hour in weekday peaks.
- Beach suburbs: via Bondi Road, Clovelly Road or Alison Road and Southern Cross Drive. About 20 to 35 minutes off-peak.
- South-east: down Anzac Parade or Bunnerong Road, often under 20 minutes.
